I love living in Brooklyn. Everything about it. I love that on a beautiful weekend day, you can just walk out of your door and find something to do. Whether it be a park, walking through one of the amazing neighborhoods, brunch, or a festival. Last Saturday we had a rare day with no obligations. After a great brunch at The General Greene, we decided to check out The Brooklyn Flea in Fort Greene. The Flea takes place in Fort Greene on Saturdays and is Located at 178 Lafayette Avenue, between Claremont and Vanderbilt in the schoolyard of Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School. It is an amazing assortment of 150 vendors, with everything from vintage jewelry and toys to furniture, and everything in between.
It was so much fun to just wander around to all of the different tables and booths to see what you may find. The one who had the most fun? My 6 1/2 year old! She brought her wallet and was ready to shop-and shop she did! Among her treasures- a President Taft figurine. Why? No idea- that’s the one she wanted lol.
It was a perfect way to spend a few hours on a Saturday. And picked up some goodies along the way. My favorite is the vintage 70’s leather clutch- love! And the original Backgammon set that reminds me of my grandparents- more about that in another post.
